Saint Gregory the Theologian Romanian Orthodox Church

Renovation Projects

Beloved Faithful of the Church of St. Gregory the Theologian in Easley, South Carolina,
A prayer from the Holy Liturgy says this: ” Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and
comes down from You, Father of lights,” understanding that all the things in our life, all the achievements
are due to God who has always been with us with His love.

Our small, but courageous mission, fully felt this in the past 3 years when we managed to buy a humble
place for worship that we would like to make a Little Romania so far from Romania!

We are pleased to announce a special initiative in which we hope you will join: the renovation of our
beloved place of worship, which we want to bring aesthetically to a closer image of what an Orthodox
church is. As we strive to improve our place of worship and community meeting, we invite you to partner
with us in this meaningful initiative. It is about the construction of a Byzantine-type iconostasis decorated
with traditional Orthodox icons painted on wood, the renovation of the walls, the creation of half-arches
and an alcove and the decoration with chandeliers.

The work is estimated at $35,000 and we need your support. We know that sometimes the shortcomings
seem to overwhelm us, but we also know that Christ is with us and will receive everyone’s sacrifice in the
altar above the heavens. The two main projects are summarized below.

The renovations will not only make our church more aesthetically pleasing or functional, but will also
create a more welcoming space for worship or charitable activities in our community. Your contribution,
no matter its size, will make a significant difference in achieving this vision. In the attachments of this
email you will find images and details of the work we want to do.

To donate, please visit our home page. Alternatively, you can bring the
donation directly to the church on Sunday at Holy Liturgy. Please specify what the donation is for
(renovation, iconostasis or icons).

We are grateful for your continued support and generosity. Together, we can ensure that our church will
remain a beacon of Romanian Orthodoxy in America and a testimony for future generations.
Thank you for considering this important opportunity to invest in the future of our church!

Blessings,

Bogdan Cojoleancă
Parish Priest
